Japan
Gray hairs.
We have a gorgeous, light-filled office, but I really wish we could open the windows for some fresh air.
What’s the most memorable or unusual thing to happen to you while working here?
A crew of workers was trying to use a crane to install an AC unit on the roof. It was clear they didn’t know what they were doing so everyone gathered by the windows to watch the hilarity unfold. Sure enough, they dropped the AC unit from 20 feet up and we all cheered.
What personality trait of yours best serves your job?
Curiosity.
If you were a mad scientist with endless time and funds, what wild experiment would you undertake?
I would install GPS chips into every piece of currency and track its position over time, to find out how far your money really goes.
What would be your alternate dream profession?
I would enjoy any career at the intersection of art, technology, and games, because I love creating experiences that are unique and memorable.
What would it surprise your coworkers to know about you?
I entered a game design competition for student developers at the 2009 SXSW conference. I pitched a game idea [“Sloppy Ice”] in front of a live audience and won first place, plus a brand-new Xbox.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
Researching cool technology, creating fun animation effects, and working with an absolutely rock star team.
