What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
Hiking and camping. My Husband and I went on a two-week camping trip during 2020. We drove across 10 states and visited Arches National Park, Badlands, Dinosaur Monument, Canyonlands, Colorado National Monument, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Mount Rushmore and Devil’s Tower.
What personality trait of yours best serves your job?
Being incredibly extroverted. I love to be able to talk and brainstorm ideas with my coworkers. I love being able to check in with people and see how they’re doing. I think that kind of personal relationship at work makes doing projects together so much easier and more enjoyable.
Do you have any pets?
Yes! Don’t @ me, but we like to name our pets after ‘90s movies and TV shows. So we have our dog Zorro— who we call Z—and our cats, Salem and Sabrina.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
Music Fridays, AKA messing with our coworker’s day. We have a running theme of trying to fit the greatest song of all time—“All Star” by Smash Mouth— into all of our music themes.
What's one place you must visit, that you haven't yet?
I would love to go see the glaciers, the wildlife and Monte Fitz Roy in Patagonia.
If you could hire any historical figure to bring in to give a motivational speech to MoTech employees, who would it be and why?
The legendary Headmaster of the prestigious British Boarding School, Albus Dumbledore. He seems like he’s always giving a good speech and inspiring people for the greater good.
What would it surprise your coworkers to know about you?
I spent every summer from 2003 to 2011 at YMCA Camp Lakewood, first as a camper, then a counselor-in-training and then as camp counselor. I met my husband while working at camp when we were 19 and still participate in and organize alumni events.
If you could change one thing about MoTech, what would it be and why?
Being able to have dogs in the office.
What reality TV show title do you think best fits for MoTech?
Survivor, but only the beginning part before they really vote anyone off. I think people at MoTech are great at feeding off each other’s energy, put in the work to make the office feel homey, and want to create those relationships to make an unbreakable team!
Who’s the most impressive celebrity you’ve met?
I got to meet Andrew McMahon (Andrew McMahon & The Wilderness/Something Corporate/Jack’s Mannequin) after his concert a few years ago. I’ve seen him play live in every band he’s ever been in.
